Start by downloading the setup tones provided by Rockford Fosgate, play the tone, adjust the receiver volume until the red clip light on the amp is extinguished, and then increase the amp gain until the blue light appears. It's an effortless process that will perfectly configure your amplifier to complement your receiver's output. With this setup, you can expect maximum clean power output from your Power amp at high volume levels, and minimal background noise for a truly immersive listening experience at lower volumes.
Keeps an eye on things while playing
The blue light will turn solid red if your source is distorted, indicating that you should lower the volume to avoid damage to your equipment. A PLC2 remote level control is available to serve as a clip indicator, allowing you to monitor for clipping from the front seat. The amp's internal computer monitors the output current, providing protection against speaker impedance changes or short circuits.
